Dr. Levene attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island, New York. After graduating in 1988, he continued his training at Delaware Valley Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Dr. Levene was then accepted into the Family Practice Residency Program at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey. He was noted to be the first osteopathic physician to graduate from this competitive allopathic program. Dr. Levene completed the residency program and was voted Resident of the Year by the medical staff. He then opened his own private practice in Family Medicine in Lake Worth where he practiced for eight years. Dr. Levene joined Hospice of Palm Beach County in 1997, and in 1998 he was named Assistant Medical Director. In March 2001, Dr. Levene was instrumental in opening the Jay Robert Lauer Hospice and Palliative Care Unit at JFK Medical Center. Dr. Levene is Hospice of Palm Beach County's Clinical Medical Director. Dr. Levene is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and American Board of Osteopathic Family Practice and successfully completed the exam given by the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Levene has lived in South Florida for over 12 years.
