Elizabeth Przekop joined Hospice of Palm Beach County in March 2008 after spending nearly ten years as a sales specialist with the global pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. Handling the southeast Florida area, she succeeded in claiming territory superiority in a six product competitive market. Elizabeth was also responsible for training new sales representatives, coordinating and providing in-service education programs for healthcare practitioners, and preparing overviews of the mental health market for use region-wide. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Elizabeth was the Assistant Nursing Director for the Columbia Hospital Pavilion, where she handled administrative and nursing functions necessary to maintain the integrity of patient care.
Elizabeth is an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric & Mental Health RN, She graduated with an AS in Nursing from PBCC in Lake Worth, FL and a BS and M Ed from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
As an advocate for the mentally ill, Elizabeth has actively participated in the Palm Beach Mental Health Association and the local National Association for Research for Schizophrenia and Depression (NARSAD). A former Peace Corps volunteer in Brazil, she presently volunteers with MIMA Foundation of Jupiter, FL traveling as part of a Medical/Surgical team that provides services to the poor in rural areas of Bolivia.
