Director of Access Services
Bill Rascoe joined Hospice of Palm Beach County in 1993 as a staff nurse in the Gerstenberg inpatient unit. He saw great opportunity with the organization and moved up the ranks as Hospice of Palm Beach County grew from just 125 patients to more than 1,200 per day.In his tenure with the organization, Bill has served as a supervisor for the Gerstenberg Inpatient Unit, supervisor of the Yellow Team, Palliative Care Coordinator and also Palliative Care Supervisor. In 2007, Bill became the Regional Manager for the West Palm Beach/Lake Worth area overseeing seven (7) teams including the Good Samaritan Hospital Unit and Gerstenberg Inpatient Unit. In December 2010, Bill was appointed to the position of Director of Access Services for Hospice of Palm Beach County.
Bill's love for the Hospice movement began in St. Louis when he served as a volunteer for a hospice afflitiated wtih Barnes-Jewish Hospital where he was employed as a Registered Nurse in Acute Medicine. He contributes his personal success story at Hospice of Palm Beach County largely in part the the wonderful people that he has had the opportunity to work with and to the fact the organization had adhered to its high standards of quality care since the day he began.
