Reflections of You
This song was written as a memorial to those who have lost a loved one in the past year. The song was performed at “Reflections” in 2001 as a tribute to the families that have been served by Hospice of Palm Beach County. The song speaks to the ways that people integrate the memories and experiences of their loved ones into their heart, mind and spirit.

In these rare moments of solitude I feel you near
In time with my heartbeat it’s your voice I can hear
My life’s a mirror of memories casting different views
Flashing through my mind…..reflections of you
Oh father, mother, life and death I can’t explain
Don’t ask me how but now I’m moving through the pain
Bits and pieces all in brightly colored hues
Shed a healing light… reflections of you
I will never let your memory fade away
I will always see your face and feel this way
I will burn a candle brightly in your name
I will always know you’re with me and carry the flame
So now I’m listening to the images and the sounds
Of our life, our hopes and dreams, they’re in me now
And time’s a mirror of memories casting different views
Flashing through my mind…..reflections of you
