End of Life Care in the Jewish Tradition from Hospice Bookmark and Share

Is Hospice Kosher? Yes it is. In fact, Hospice care epitomizes the Jewish vision of healing – concentrating on the healing of the body and the healing of the spirit.

The Hospice of Palm Beach County team is trained to understand and respect Jewish concerns in health care. We provide a user-friendly approach to caring for our Jewish community by being attentive to Jewish law and tradition as it relates to healthcare, treatment decisions and outcomes. Patients are cared for wherever they reside - in the home, assisted living or skilled nursing facility, hospital or hospice inpatient unit. Our interdisciplinary team understands how precious life is and how important it is to preserve the autonomy of the patient as well as the family.

Our Rabbis are there to communicate and listen, and are familiar with many local Bikur Cholim agencies, which can be used as a resource to aid patients and families.
