Hospice of Palm Beach County Announces Holocaust Remembrance Event
Residents of South Florida are invited to come together in remembrance of the Holocaust to honor the people who survived and memorialize those who perished at a very special Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony hosted by Hospice of Palm Beach County on Thursday, April 19, 2012.
The ceremony, which begins at 2:00 pm and is open to the general public at no charge, will be held at the South County Civic Center, located at 16700 Jog Road in Delray Beach. The keynote speaker for the event is Hospice of Palm Beach County Physician, Karen Klapper, D.O., whose parents were concentration camp survivors.
“We will be celebrating the miracle of life and hope at our Holocaust Remembrance ceremony,” stated Rabbi Chaim Wender, Hospice of Palm Beach County Rabbinical Coordinator. “As the leading provider of hospice care in a community that is honored to include Holocaust survivors, Hospice of Palm Beach County is privileged to host an event to celebrate their lives and their legacy of hope,” added Rabbi Wender.
Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
