Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation to Host Atlantis PRO AM Golf Classic
Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation will host the Third Annual Atlantis PRO/AM Golf Classic at the Atlantis Country Club on Saturday, March 23. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Jay Robert Lauer Hospice & Palliative Care Unit at JFK Medical Center.
Before teeing off, golfers will enjoy lunch sponsored by Carrabba’s Italian Grill on Atlantis' patio overlooking the new championship tees. Lunch will be followed by the Chopper Drop, where a cascade of numbered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter onto the green. Participants will be able to purchase numbered golf balls matching the numbers on the golf balls from the helicopter for a chance to win a 50/50 split of the proceeds from the raffle.
"It's wonderful to be able to do something you enjoy for a cause you believe in," said Jim Kintz, founder and developer of the city of Atlantis. "All of the money we raise stays local, which is important to the folks of Atlantis because the services in JFK’s Hospice unit are unparalleled and so important to our community. We want to make sure that they can continue to provide the highest level of care for those in need."
After playing 18 holes on the brand new Ultra Dwarf greens, tournament participants will wind down during the Awards Cocktail Reception and silent auction, where they can bid on lavish items such as a weekend stay at the Breakers Hotel.
The Atlantis PRO/AM Golf Classic is made possible by the generous support of sponsors: Steve and Cathy Moore; John Rubino ; Jim and Sara Ann Kintz; Larry and Beth Charbonneau of Leisure Times Coins; Sheridan Healthcare; Dr. and Mrs. Richard Levene; Kathleen Lang; Dan & Valarie Young; Richard Sussman;Douglas Andrews; JFK Medical Center; Lions Club; Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Coastal Wine and Spirits.
