Integrative Therapies
What are Integrative Therapies?
Integrative Therapies include gentle, non-invasive treatments that address not only physical needs, but those on emotional, spiritual, and cognitive levels. Sometime referred to as "complementary therapies," Integrative Therapies are recognized as effectively and safely integrating with traditional medical modalities. Integrative Therapies do not replace traditional medical therapies; rather, they integrate with medical care that is being provided by using safe, non-medical therapies to achieve comfort and a general sense of well-being. We believe that it is possible to experience a sense of wholeness, even when the physical body is experiencing an illness.
Hospice of Palm Beach County's Integrative Therapies Department provides a spectrum of gentle, holistic treatment options which integrate seamlessly into the medical care provided to our patients. In the same way that a harmony line enriches the melody of song, integrative therapies add a new dimension of comfort care to your medical treatment. Integrative Therapies available include:
- Music Therapy
- Palliative Massage
- Reiki
- Aromatherapy
- Imagery Work
- Relaxation Training
