Music Therapy

Music therapy is a patient-centered, non-invasive treatment designed to alleviate pain, stress, restlessness and agitation. The music therapy experience provides patients and families with a sense of comfort and tranquility; it supports, connects, stimulates, relaxes, encourages, expresses and consoles.

Music therapy is a recognized health profession proven to manage physical symptoms, enhance mood, stimulate memory recall, and provide unique opportunities for interaction and emotional intimacy. The music therapist develops a therapeutic bond with the patient and family and offers support from the time of admission through the last moments of life.

For additional information about our Music Therapy Program, please contact: Chelsea Johnson, M.S., MT-BC, LMT, Integrative Therapies Manager, at (561) 227-5178 or email cjohnson@hpbc.com.
