Musician Volunteers

Do you like to sing or play an instrument? Do you enjoy sharing the gift of music with others? Music is such a powerful way to connect and uplift. It is particularly meaningful for hospice patients.

You don't have to be an expert on an instrument or have perfect pitch to be a musician volunteer. All you need is the skill to make music and the desire to share it.

Once you complete training, you will be referred by our music therapists to continue the enrichment that music provides after a patient's clinical needs have been addressed.

Please call us at (561) 227-5138 or visit hpbc.com/volunteers to learn more about becoming a hospice volunteer.

Music can lift us out of depression or move us to tears - it is a remedy, a tonic, orange juice for the ear. But for many of my neurological patients, music is even more - it can provide access, even when no medication can, to movement, to speech, to life. For them, music is not a luxury, but a necessity. - Dr. Oliver Sacks, renowned physician and author
