Pet Peace of Mind®

TrustBridge Health's Pet Peace of Mind® (PPOM) Program assists Hospice patients to complete their end-of-life journey with the comfort and companionship of their pet family - cats or dogs - by helping them care for their pets' needs. Trained volunteers provide in-home pet care assistance when the patient needs help caring for a pet. With this kind of compassionate support, patients are able to enjoy time with their pets without worrying about their pet's current or future needs. Volunteers can assist with the following:

  • Walking, feeding, playing and clean-up
  • Bathing, brushing and pampering
  • Transportation of pets to appointments with veterinarians, groomers or temporary boarding facilities
  • Shopping for pet supplies

Pet Peace of Mind® also provides resources for patients who financially qualify, to assist with veterinarian care, vaccinations, flea, tick and heartworm medications, food and pet supplies, short-term boarding, and grooming when medically necessary. This program is funded through the Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation and dependent upon donations and grants.

To learn more about becoming a hospice volunteer call (561) 227-5139 or complete the volunteer registration form at hpbc.com/volunteer.
