Thank you for your interest in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Palm Beach Regional Campus Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program. Our program is designed to provide comprehensive training in the specialty of Palliative Medicine while allowing each fellow the flexibility to tailor the experience to his or her individual career goals. The resources and expertise of one of the nation’s premier medical schools are behind this innovative program set in three state-of-the-art health care facilities - JFK Medical Center, the West Palm Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center, and Hospice of Palm Beach County.
The curriculum is designed to provide hands-on patient care experiences in hospital based inpatient units, long term care center; home based patient care, and physician offices. Our curriculum recognizes that learners have different needs and we pride ourselves on meeting them through fellow input, as well as individualizing the experience based on a fellow’s interests and career path. Elective experiences allow residents to hone their skills in medical subspecialties. All this is offered within the friendly environment of West Palm Beach Florida.
Working side-by-side with the Internal Medicine Residency Program, excellent patient care, scholarship, and humanism are the outcome measures we value most. Success in these three areas will lead to success in any chosen medical career. The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Palm Beach Regional Campus Hospice and Palliative Medicine Program can help you meet your goals. We are very proud of our program and I invite you to take a closer look.
